Eric took Quinn to Costco on Friday to order his birthday cake. The excitement was just too much for the little guy, he completely passed out in the shopping cart.
He did not pass out in the shopping cart on Saturday morning though, when he, myself and his best friend who just moved onto our street – yay! – all went back to Costco to pick up the birthday cake.
They basically melted my heart with all their BFF love and super cute kiddo hugs. I can tell you with sincerity that Quinn is going to be an awesome older brother!
The party was a blast. We had about 20+ people from the street and church show up to help us eat all the cake, ice cream and chips and make the Q dude feel very special. He played hard. Like waaaaay hard. The moment the party was over and we had him packed in the car he was out like a light. He stayed asleep the entire car ride over to Vacaville for his cousins birthday celebration! It was pretty awesome. It would have been better if I could have joined him, but an hour of just the Hubs and me time was pretty awesome too.
This was a pretty lame photo taking weekend. I had about a million things on my mind and remembering to document them all with pictures just fell through the cracks. Dang it! I DID manage to declutter the Q dude’s clothes and pack up all his old sizes. And I did manage to photograph that, so stay tuned.
