The queens
Last week was the Relief Society’s birthday. Happy birthday young lady!
Our ward celebrated with soup, salad, and by inviting a local lady to give her ‘famous’ The Queen Within talk. I must admit she was a dang good story teller. And not only that, but her story was fabulous!

She spoke about her old roommate who’s parents took them both out to a fancy restaurant for the roommate’s 21st birthday where she was given a gift. A crown. And along with the crown her parents told her that it was to help her remember that she was a Queen and that she had a divine calling in life. And that whenever she was feeling down she was to put on her crown and remember the big picture.

She went on to talk about how much this dinner impacted her life and how she went out and got herself her very own tiara and would wear it around her house, just because. But also, how after she got married it served as a wonderful little ‘warning’ to her husband. When he got home and the tiara was on he knew that tender feelings were afoot and to tread lightly. I sometimes feel like I should make myself a special sign for these types of days, but now I want a crown instead!
At the end we all got tiara’s and a handout to help us remember The Queen Within. How cool is that? I hope you all had an equally awesome experience celebrating the RS birthday, or whatever you happened to be doing last Thursday evening.
Have a fabulous week. And never forget The Queen within each and every one of us!
xoxo
