Well, here it is… I signed up for a change of pace.

It means, I’ve decided to switch jobs. *gasp* I know right?!?
Apple. Of all the jobs in all the world to decide to leave I chose Apple.

I’m over the commute. It’s almost as simple as that. I’m over the fact that three hours of my day are spent on the road listening to NPR and music or talking on the phone with the hubs instead sitting face to face and holding the same conversation with him, or rolling around on the floor with my son. I want my time back, and I want to spend it where it matters, at home.
Next Monday I’ll start on my new adventure as Visual Merchandising Coordinator at The North Face. Wow, right?!? It’s a little interior design mixed with a little print graphics and a whole lot of project management. I am SUPER excited, and nervous, and excited some more. But, I’m a little sad.
I’ve spent the past eight months building up my work family at Apple, and I’m very dearly going to miss them. We did become just that, a family. I guess that’s what a few months of twelve hour days, eating all of your meals at your desk and blowing off steam whenever the opportunity arose will do to a great group of people.
Until next time Apple. It’s been short, but sweet.
