Day 6.
If you couldn’t answer with your job, how would you answer the question, ‘what do you do’?

On any given day I teach at least 20 classes.
Art, music, reading, writing, nutrition, physical education, math, history, religion, photography, design, color theory, fine motor skills, people skills, manners, home economics, cooking, baking…
You get the picture, and the best part is that the list grows every day.

I love being a mother.
I live right now to be a mother.
It is the greatest, hardest, most rewarding calling and job on this earth. And, I am truly blessed to be a part of the band of mothers. We teach, we nurture, we laugh and we cry as the struggle to raise contributing, loving and kind members of society rages. As we are entrusted with our divine right to rear children in the Lord’s image with their beautiful, kind spirits.

  • I really believe that mothers and parents and child caretakers are some of, if not the, most important people out there. Without us, can you imagine what the world would look like in a generation or two?!
  • I am a classroom teacher, but I truly believe the most important teachers are the parents. Real education happens in the home, or at least it should, and my role should be a facilitator. If more parents had your understanding of this responsibility -- and what a great one to have! -- than our world would be a much better place!
