updates at the dubs house

Baby girl on top, baby boy on the bottom. 25 weeks. #pregnancy #twins

Last week was a bit of a roller coaster for us. It actually started while in Tahoe and continued until Thursday morning when I got the phone call we’d been waiting for. If you ever want to create a little drama in the house here’s how to do it.

Step 1 – Apply for a job from an online job board and two minutes later receive a phone call that results in an hour+ phone interview. In which, the job sounds perfect, the timing is perfect and the lady on the other end of the phone is… well, perfect.

Step 2 – Meet up for a face to face interview four days later, because you’re both out of town and simply can’t connect until then. (oh the anticipation!)

Step 3 – Know the minute this lady walks up and further describes the job to you that this really is perfect and a huge answer to prayer.

Step 4 – Wait a day and a half to send a thank you/ follow up email for the meeting.

Step 5 – Get the call the very next day. Get the contract. Get floored by the offer.

Step 6 – Take your friends out for dinner to celebrate!

And that’s just one part of it all!

A few weeks ago I was contacted, seemingly out of the blue, by a rather large blog and offered a few different job options and a few days to think about it. After much deliberation I am proud to say that I am the new on-call graphics editor for 5 minutes for mom! All those cool pinnacle images that you’ll see popping up over there will most likely have been created by me. How cool is that!?! It’s freelance, work from home and low stress. Perfect wrapped up in a box if you will.

Blessed. Blessed. Blessed.

Just to keep a nice little tally of all the work I’ve been blessed with this past month:

1. Freelance Power Point editing and Design Work with a top Mobile Company in SF.
2. Freelance business card creation, photos, editing & website banner creation for one of Eric’s old classmates.
3. Freelance Mother’s Day ad for another of Eric’s old classmates.
4. 5 minutes for mom graphics editor.
5. And now, this new freelance job – which starts on Tuesday and is going to be intense and awesome for the next three months.

Thank you everyone for sending us good juju and vibes and thoughts and prayers and all that jazz. We feel truly blessed in this little house and love you all for your support.

xoxo

PS. We had a little looksie at the twins this past Monday.
Little boy is now 1 lb 12 oz and Little girl is now 1 lb 10 oz.
They are both just over 12 inches long and look as healthy as can be.
