sneak peek – the peacock blue

Remember the peacock blue obsession? Well, I have finally scratched the itch, taken the plunge, filled the gap… that’s right, I painted my walls peacock blue! I ran down to The Home Depot this past bright and sunny Saturday morning, stood at the paint counter for only one millennium instead of the usual two, and walked out with a gallon of paint and a cranky baby. It was nap time, I couldn’t blame him.

And then came the fun part. I got brave this time and free handed the edges, gasp, with an angled brush and some assistant from one of those special ‘edging’ roller tool-y-mag-ies (which don’t work worth crap, by the way). I must admit, I sucked in the beginning, but by the end I was pretty darn good with an angled brush.

I still need to make an Ikea run for some photo shelves and whatever random knickknacks Ikea sees fit to taunt me with. I’m also having a custom art piece made for my son by the very talented Dave Conrey. Did I mention that Dave is also very generous, and soon to be featured on this here lovely blog? No, well consider yourself warned told.

And yes, that’s a spine in the corner of that photo. My husband is in Chiropractic school. Enough said.

What are your current projects?
