I promise to post more pictures just as soon as I have Internet. For now, here are the amazing updates for week 7.
Rhys and Avery are officially called Feed & Grow babies. They are just little miracles, doing exactly what they’re supposed to.
Rhys is on 1/2 liter of oxygen at 21%. They attempted to take him off completely and he lasted about 7 hours before needing that little extra help again. They’ll try again in a few days. He is up to 5 lbs 10.5 oz and doesn’t even kind of fit in preemie clothes anymore! His cute little belly just busts right out of them, so we’ve moved on the newborn clothes. He and Avery are almost too big for preemie diapers too!
Avery is on 2 liters of the high-flow cannula at 23%. Her weight is 5lbs 8.5 oz and this little girl knows how to latch like a pro. We’ve been working on putting them both to breast, mostly recreationally for now but next week we’re hoping it will be for real. Yay!
