NICU week five

This week was hard, very hard. Mostly because I caught a head cold and haven’t been able to go see my babies since Wednesday.
Calling for updates and photos just doesn’t cut it. Thankfully, the head cold and all the accompanying symptoms are gone so today is the day.
The beautiful reunion of mother and children.
There just may be lots and lots of ugly crying going on. I’ll let you know.
Rhys. Day 29.Hello pretty girl. Avery. Day 29. #twins #preemie

Updates:
Rhys is on a regular cannula at 28%. He is up to 38ml on his feeds and is tolerating them like a champ. His weight is currently – drum roll please – 4lbs 7.5oz!!!!!
Avery is still on the Cpap at 30%. She is up to 35ml per feeds and is tolerating them just fine. She gets a few hours of high-flow cannula at night to strengthen her for the transition – which we are hoping she’ll be ready for any day now. Her weight… 4lbs 1oz!
They’re both over the 4lb mark. Wahoo!
