I love to laugh, and when I laugh I love to do it right. Head back, mouth wide open, sound coming from deep in the gut with lots of umph behind it. Making the room jump because you just woke everyone up with your laugh. It can take a while to find your laugh. I remember trying on a few… I had a friend who basically never laughed, only smiled and I tried my hardest to try it out, but I simply couldn’t convey the joy with simply a smile. I found that naturally I wanted to laugh until the laugh ran out, but I often felt embarrassed by being the last person laughing – sometimes ten minutes later. Then, I had a friend who laughed without fear. She never held it back, no matter what, no matter where we were. You always knew when she was happy and that was how I wanted to showcase my happy too.
Let’s all take a minute and have a real good, deep from the belly, laugh.
