We’ve had a pretty crazy week over here. For starters, my Sister-in-law has been in the hospital since Wednesday morning. Which means Eric has been basically living there as well and the Q dude and I have been going over whenever we can. Which also means I’m in single mom mode. It’s oddly reminiscent of Finals week with a whole lot more stress and anxious waiting.
The good news. My SIL is doing much better. The doctors are very happy with her recovery and things are looking much brighter in our little universe. Also, Eric finally came home on Saturday night and is making the long drive whenever he can.
Apparently a toddler doesn’t really ‘get’ that a stressful situation means less play time and what nots, so I tried to keep up some kind of normalcy with his schedule. He visited with all of his aunts and uncles who all flew into town, we visited with auntie TeTe and we went to church yesterday. I was able to take a few days off of work last week which Q and I both loved, even if most of those days were spent in the hospital.
It’s always so hard to leave my little munchkin after having a few whole days with him. It reminds me exactly what my goal is and just how hard I need to work to get there. And, exactly how hard I need to push Eric to get us there *wink, wink*.
