So.
I’m a short hair kind of gal. I think it’s fun, and funky and super sexy for women to wear their hair short. But sometimes it’s fun to have long wavy curls or be able to pull your hair back in a pony tail when you’re going for a jog. Because we all jog, right?
This past… 9 months or so I’ve been growing my hair out with one goal in mind. I wanted to be able to curl it. I wanted soft wavy curls, because some how I got it in my mind that soft wavy curls were hot. I blame that one girl with the truck.
You know the kind, right? The girl with the long hair and the soft curls and the truck that she is obviously borrowing from her boyfriend. But who just looks soooo d*mn hot getting out of that truck that everyone stops to stare at her. Yup. That one. (Don’t worry, I’m totally straight. I simply appreciate all beautiful things)
So… I’ve been growing it out.
And guess what?
I totally got my soft, curly hair. See…
So what did I do next?
I chopped it all back off. Because that’s just how I roll.

And I was super excited about it. It’s short, but long, and still funky and hot all at once. But the finished product was a bit different than expect. Like, way different. Like, it took me a few hours + make up sessions + earrings + pep talks to finally be okay with it. Because, well, my hair does grow fast. So in a month or two it just might look like the haircut I wanted, but for now… it’s just a little shorter.
